OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT PROGRAM

Information about the Results of the Certification Examination of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Graduates.

 

In compliance with the 2006 OTA Standard A.4.2, our program has updated the information related to student’s outcomes, especially for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 years. These data’s have been published recently in our web page, in both language, Spanish and English: http//www.uprh.edu/~to

          Multicultural Issue: Students in our program take the Puerto Rico 

         Examination Board offered by the Puerto Rico Occupational Therapy

         Examination Board (JETOPR)  in our native  language , which is Spanish.

There are 27 graduates from the 2010 graduation class. From this class , 27 graduates took the OTA certification examination test for the first time class and 13 graduates approved it, for a total of 48%.      

 

There are 24 graduates from the 2011 graduation class.  From this class, 20 graduates took the OTA certification examination test for the first time and 6 graduates approved it, for a total of 30%.

 

There are 17 graduates from the 2012 graduation class.  From this class, 17 graduates took the OTA certification examination test for the first time and 4 graduates approved it, for a total of 23%.

 

In compliance with 2006 OTA Standard A.5.4, our program has updated the passing rate results for the years of  2010, 2011 and  2012.  These have been published in the web page of our OT program, in both languages: Spanish and English: http://www.uprh.edu/to/.

 

We have designed a matrix grid to compile this information. Here you will see the statistical data related to graduate students, number of students that took the certification examination for the first time and approved it, number of students that took the certification examination for the second or more occasions and approve it, as well as the overall number of students that have approved the certification examination in one or more occasions and the overall passing rate in percentages.

For the 2010 class, 27 graduates took the certification examination in two occasions on more, and approved it, which added to the previous data, there is an "overall" total of 14  graduates who approved it,  for a passing rate of 51%.

 

For the 2011 class, 3 graduates took the certification examination in one occasions and approved it, which added to the previous data, there is an "overall" total of 9 graduates who approved it, for a passing rate of 45%.

 

For the 2012 class, 17 graduates took the certification examination in one occasions and approved it, there is an overall total of 4 graduates who approved it for a passing rate of

23% to the moment.
